MicroCAD is seeking a highly motivated, mid-level Outside Sales Executive to aggressively grow our Construction Solutions business within the AEC market. This is a hunter-driven role focused on net-new business development, territory expansion, and winning new logos.
You’ll work directly with construction firms to modernize workflows through Autodesk Construction Cloud, reality capture technologies, and professional services. This is a high-impact role tied to a key growth initiative for the company.

What You’ll Do – Own New Business Development (Primary Focus)
Identify, prospect, and close net-new construction and AEC clients
Build your territory from the ground up through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
Generate and manage a self-sourced pipeline and drive deals from first contact through close
Lead in-person and virtual client engagements, including jobsite and office visits
Compete and win in a performance-driven sales environment

Sell End-to-End Construction Technology Solutions
Drive revenue through consultative selling of:
Autodesk Construction Cloud and related Autodesk solutions
Professional services (implementation, consulting, training)
Technical support and ongoing service offerings
Third-party technologies (Matterport, Trimble, Bluebeam, Enscape, ESRI, HP)
Translate construction workflows into technology solutions that improve project delivery, coordination, and efficiency

Land and Expand Accounts
Convert new logos into long-term, multi-solution clients
Identify and close upsell opportunities across software, services, and support
Partner with Account Managers to grow and retain strategic accounts

Drive Reality Capture & Scan-to-BIM Growth
Introduce clients to Scan-to-BIM and reality capture solutions (Leica, Matterport)
Support both service-based engagements and product sales
Position MicroCAD as a leader in digital capture and modeling workflows

Collaborate & Execute
Partner with technical teams to scope and deliver solutions
Contribute to a high-performance, results-driven sales culture

What We’re Looking For
3–6+ years of B2B sales experience, with a strong emphasis on new business (hunter) roles
Direct experience in construction, AEC, or construction technology is required
Proven track record of prospecting, pipeline generation, and closing net-new business
Experience selling software, technology, or services into construction firms strongly preferred
Strong understanding of construction workflows (field, BIM, project management, or VDC)
Highly competitive, self-driven, and comfortable with performance-based metrics
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Willingness to travel for client meetings, jobsites, and industry events

Compensation & Benefits
On-Target Earnings (OTE): based on experience
Top performers are expected to exceed OTE
