Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) tool, which can be used by more than one person working on a new project. This is an important feature in collaboration within a project, between projects, and with other users, firms, and disciplines.
The objective of the Collaboration Tools for Revit Architecture course is to enable students, who have a basic knowledge of Revit, to increase their productivity while working with other people on a team, either in the same firm or other firms as well as with other disciplines. It also covers linking Revit files and linking or importing other CAD files.
This course is designed for experienced Revit users who wish to expand beyond their basic skills into more advanced Revit functionality.
Students should be comfortable with the fundamentals of the architecture tools in Revit as taught in the RA101: Revit Architecture 1 – Fundamentals course. Knowledge of basic techniques is assumed, such as creating standard elements, copying and moving elements, creating and working with views, etc.
Students will get classroom access to the software and Autodesk Authorized Training courseware (these can be purchased in addition to the training) and the knowledge to get to the next level with the architecture tools in Revit.
The course length is a guideline. Course topics and duration may be modified by the instructor based upon the knowledge and skill level of the students. All courses will be taught on the most current release, depending on availability of courseware.
